I attended Rochester High School, and graduated in 2001. After graduation, I left for Bourbonnais, Illinois to attend Olivet Nazarene University (the home of the Chicago Bears Training Camp--Go Bears!). I graduated with honors in 2005 with a degree in English Education.
For two years, I worked at Auburn Middle School as a 7th and 8th grade literature teacher. I was also the yearbook sponsor for my last year there. I enjoyed my time at Auburn, but looked forward to teaching high school at Pleasant Plains and serving as the junior class sponsor. This fall will be my second year teaching at Pleasant Plains.
In May 2006, I married my best friend, Brian, and inherited three step-kids, Jacob (10), Elisabeth (6), and Kayla (4). Jake will be in 5th grade this year and Elisabeth will be in 1st! Kayla is spending half-days at Pre-K. In October I'm expecting my first baby. William Lee (Will) is expected to arrive around October 15th! Our house is a very busy one, but I would not change a thing about it!
Outside of school, I enjoy playing around with photography. Most weekends I can be found shopping with my mom or visiting friends and family. I love to travel, but do not get to do it as often as I'd like. I used to play golf in high school, and just recently started to play again. I'm still not any good at it, but I have fun trying!
